So my training focus for Cebu has been running. It is for sure my weakest of the 3 sports, and seems to be the most important. I’ve seen triathletes with a swimming background lose their leads on the bike. I’ve seen incredibly strong cyclists build huge leads on the bike only to lose it in the run. Running seemed an area where I can really improve. Running also though really seems to wear on my body. I’m running more miles in the week and spending less time swimming and cycling, but I find myself way more exhausted! Running really seems to be taking a toll on my body. Hopefully my body adapts and I can continue running more miles and not feel so tired. Stay tuned! I’ll keep you updated on how the training is going.
